It's December 31st 2009. This blog had been dormant for just about a year and I caught myself looking back at some of my China photos that never made it to the web. So without further ado here's my China photo dump of 2009.

English is a Difficult Language
People in the US get Chinese characters tattooed on their arms to look cool. They can't read them. Sometimes they don't even know what the characters mean. In China, some people use English to look cool. But English is a complex language and it's difficult to master. Case(s) in point below.

If you're going to make bootleg shoes, maybe you should learn that Nike and Etnies are not the same brand. NOT TO MENTION "Etnies" is spelled I-E not E-I. I before E except after C people!
Anta is a Chinese brand. Nike Air is not. Bootlegers take note.

What's on the menu?
As a corollary to the bad English on clothing, shoes and cars, menus are often one of the big offenders. Going out to eat is always humorous. Which delectable delight sounds good to you?

Strange China
I'm not shocked by much anymore. China is a strange place and I've come to accept and love it. Here's some of the strange things I've seen in my travels.
I was walking to get lunch and there was a pack of street monkeys. Bonus puppies in the bottom right.
